A glimpse into the future

Caleb got his hands on a shiny new toy this weekend. Aunt Rachel brought over her new IPOD and Caleb loved it. He wanted those headphones on so he could jam to some music. He was listening to the "Happy Feet" soundtrack. He loved the way the IPOD lit up when he pushed the buttons, his eyes would get big and his mouth would open in surprise. I can picture him as a teenager with one of these permanently attached to his ears and completely ignoring his mother! How cute is that face! I know I have said it before but he is just so beautiful.

Caleb and Atticus

Meet Atticus, Caleb's new best friend. He is almost a year old and he has Spina Bifida too. Glenn, Caleb, and I went over to his house for dinner tonight. We had a great time. Caleb and Atticus played on the floor together and even shared toys with each other. There is nothing cuter than watching these kiddos play together. I think Caleb and Atticus have somewhat similar personalities, they are such sweet and gentle boys. Caleb got to play in a Jumperoo for the first time and blew us away when he actually did some jumping in it. I didn't think he would be able to do that! Once again, Caleb has surprised us by his abilities. We should know by now not to underestimate him. Glenn and Ryan played with the new Nintendo Wii and us mom's talked about our little boys (of course). We had a really nice time. I am so excited to have met these parents and their adorable son Atticus. Meeting other parents with children similar to Caleb has truly changed my life. I just feel like I have a support system now that I was lacking before. I feel more at peace. Thank you Ryan, Jessica, and Atticus for a very fun evening!

Hangin' with the boys

Caleb had another playdate with his buddies, Bryce and Ethan. The boys had a good time together, must more smoothly than our trip to the mall a couple of weeks ago. I think us mom's enjoy it more than the kiddos...us girls talked for over 3 hours! We are so glad that God has trusted us with these boys and we know that we were chosen by God to raise these special boys. We are so blessed to have such beautiful sons and it is comforting to know that our boys will have each other as they grow up. They sure are cute!

My future's so bright...

...I gotta wear shades. Glenn, Caleb and I went shopping at the mall yesterday and we found some sunglasses for Caleb. We got him this blue pair and also a red pair. We figured it was about time for him to have his own set of shades because he hates it when the sun is in his eyes. He doesn't leave them on for very long, he likes to take them off and then he wants us to put them back on. He also likes for us to put the glasses on top of his head. I like the picture where he has his hands in front of his face, it kinda looks like he is saying "No more pictures please!"
