Bryce's Birthday party

We went to Bryce's 3rd birthday party today. Caleb had a good time playing with all the toys and blowing the party favors. He especially loved the bounce house. He and Nathan had a good time in there together. Of course his favorite part was the cake and ice cream! Caleb is the next to turn 3 (in August), and we can't believe it! He is just getting so big. Everyone talks about the "terrible twos" but I've noticed more and more behavior issues the closer we approach 3. If this is a glimpse of what is to come then I am in big trouble!! Oh well, at least he is cute with those big blue eyes!

Train Conductor Caleb

I actually took this picture last weekend but hadn't gotten around to posting it. This is part of Caleb's Halloween costume from last year. Sometimes he likes to put the hat and bandana on while he plays with his trains and blows the train whistle. I guess this is how boys play "dress up", of course his outfit isn't complete since he doesn't have on any pants!.

Baby on the way

It is an exciting time in the McLelland house these days. It looks like Caleb is going to be big brother in February. I am almost 6 weeks pregnant. We've known for a couple of weeks but I have been so hesitant to tell everyone. After losing 2 babies last year it is hard not to be anxious about this pregnancy. But I figured it is best to let people know so that those of you that pray can begin praying for this new life. I had a sonogram last week and it showed exactly what they expected to see this early in the pregnancy, just a small sac. I go back for another sonogram July 2nd to make sure there is a heartbeat. The dr has me on progesterone, it might not help but it certainly isn't going to hurt. We are cautiously excited right now since it is still so early in the pregnancy. The bible says to "cast all your anxiety on Christ because He cares for you", so that is what I do on a daily basis. I know that He is in control of this new life, so all I can do is I cast my worries and fears at His throne. I trust that He knows best. We would certainly appreciate your prayers. I will keep you posted on how the pregnancy progresses.

So Big

Caleb is doing so great with his braces and walker, and he just looks so big!! I can't believe he is going to be 3 years old in less than 2 months. I swear he was just in my belly!

He loves to throw the tennis ball and then walk to get it so that he can throw it again.

Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Rachel

We went to see Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Rachel yesterday. Aunt Rachel was playing with the Nintendo Wii and I got a shot of Caleb with a controller, he thought he was playing the game. Caleb always gets plenty of attention when we go over there.

Swimming at Aunt Debbie's

We went swimming this afternoon at Aunt Debbie's house. Caleb got to see a lot of family; Grandma was there and so were Caleb's cousins. He had a great time in the water and really enjoyed watching all of the kiddos play and jump off the diving board. Grandma even jumped off the diving board! He loved riding on the body board while Daddy pushed him around and he enjoyed relaxing on the raft as well. It was a very busy day for all of us and we are worn out!

How Caleb has grown

I took this picture of Caleb today and it reminded me of a very similar picture that I took when Caleb was just 3 months old. He's grown quite a bit since then!

Moving up at Church

Today was a big day for Caleb at church. He "graduated" out of the nursery and is now in the Preschool classes. It seemed like a big deal to me so I figured it was an opportunity to take pictures. He did really great in his new class with his new teachers. They even did a small lesson: "Let us love one another", so of course I took some pictures of Caleb's art work. He's so big!

Swimming again

We took our boys swimming again today. I learned my lesson from last week when Caleb tore up his toes and knees, I bought him swimming shoes and sweat bands that I pulled up over his knees. So his knees and toes looked great today, no new scrapes! I also got him a swim shirt to keep his chest and back from getting sunburned. All the boys had a good time swimming today. Caleb was very tired by the time we got home and he took a nice long nap.
