Faces of Spina Bifida: Meet Lane and Logan!

This is Lane

You want to just eat him up don't you.  I just love all those baby fat rolls, Caleb was a chunky monkey too and I loved it.
Lane just turned 6 months old.  6 months old was a huge milestone for Lane because his parents were told when he was born that he had Trisomy 13 and wouldn't live to be 6 months old.  Well the doctors were wrong and Lane does not have Trisomy 13 and he is a beautiful thriving baby boy (proof that doctors are not always right).  Lane had a trach put in at the end of the summer and is doing amazing, there is a chance that the trach will be removed this spring.  Lane is a tremendous blessing to his family and you can read all about him by visiting his blog:  Baby Steps of Hope.

This is Logan
Another cutie!  Look at that sweet face!
Logan was born October 17, 2008 so his second birthday is right around the corner.  His mom recently wrote about the day they found out that Logan had Spina Bifida and the months leading up to his birth.  I encourage you to visit their blog and read the entire post but here is a glimpse of what she had to say:
"This little boy has truly changed our lives and has impacted everyone around him, even those who don't know us. God has used this precious little boy in so many ways and I know that it won't always be easy and at times it will be extremely hard. But, He will be by our side as we continue to learn and grow and better our lives for Logan's sake. We can't do this without God..."

Take time to visit Logan's blog:  Growing from the Obstacles.
Caleb is being featured on another blog: Kidz.  There are a couple of pictures of Caleb on today's post that show off some of his Halloween costumes we have done in the past.  We've got something big in the works for this year too!  In November they are going to feature Caleb's story on the blog!  I'll be sure to let you guys know about that as well.  How exciting!!

Hey Girl,
Love reading your blog and reading about how Caleb is doing in school; we need to catch up by phone and also schedule a weekend for you to come up - even if it's next spring!!! :) I miss you so much.
Lots of love and hugs.
