Tooth #4 and Wheelchair basketball

Caleb lost tooth #4 on Saturday.  Sorry, I don't have any extraction photos for you...Glenn had the tooth out before I could even turn the camera on.  Because of all the missing front teeth, Caleb is having a bit of trouble pronouncing "sh" and "f" sounds.  It's pretty funny to listen to him talk.

We took Caleb to wheelchair basketball practice again on Saturday.  He was actually pretty excited about going and participated the entire time (they practice for 2 hours).  The expectation for the young kids isn't terribly high but they do get a chance to learn some good skills and get great exercise.  From what I can tell it seems like the kids start really getting the hang of it around 8 or 9 years old.  I love that they let the 6 year old's join in even though they can't really "play" yet.  I keep picturing Caleb at about 13 years old and totally tearing it up on the basketball court.  Here are a couple of pictures (sorry for the poor quality-my camera does not like the inside of a gym).

Caleb really enjoyed it this time and we had a lot of fun watching him out there.

Wheelchair basketball is a great way for kids with chairs to exercise, become part of a team, have fun and hang out with older kids. Thanks for sharing Caleb's adventure
